In my quest to become a healthier person. emphasis on the ier because I am in no way a "Healthy" person and the topic I will be writing about today is not extraordinarily healthy, BUT, it is pretty healthy and pretty yummy. So I have decided to share it.
These are Chocolate Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars, i found a three ingredient recipe on the pinterest and have tweaked it a little for my own desire because I didn't particularly love the results of my first go around.
These have 6 ingredients in them:
1 cup Adams no stir peanut butter
1/2 cup Honey
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp Vanilla
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup Ghirardelli's dark chocolate chips (60% Cocoa)
First put a pot on the stove at a low temperature (I had mine on 3 of 10) melt the peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, vanilla and chocolate all together. Then add the oats, spread the mixture in a 9x9 pan (I put a little Crisco in the pan so they wouldn't stick) and refrigerate.
Simple, easy, takes probably 15 min tops! They are perfect for a quick breakfast or for a post workout snack.
